Anyone for Cricket? Land Securities to hold Ashes screenings at three central London locations

Throughout the Ashes Summer, Land Securities have been holding live outdoor screenings of the test matches in central London. It’s a fantastic way to spend a day (or 5) with like-minded cricket supporters, and people who are just out for a good time watching the greatest show on earth.

Cardinal Place, Victoria Street, London, SW1 (nearest tube stations: Victoria, Westminster, St         James’s Park) www.cardinalplace.co.uk

New Street Square, New Fetter Lane, London EC4 (nearest Tube stations: Chancery Lane, Holborn and City Thameslink) www.newstreetsquare.co.uk

Bankside Mix, Southwark Street London, SE1 (nearest Tube stations: Southwark, London Bridge and Waterloo) www.banksidemix.co.uk

When: Test matches
Fourth: 7 – 11 Aug
Fifth:  20 – 24 Aug
Time:    For daily screening times please check the site websites
Cost:      Free

The screenings are part of a “Great British Summer” themed programme of events taking place across three of London’s shopping and entertainment destinations: Cardinal Place, New Street Square and Bankside Mix.

It’s completely free of charge so, if you’re feeling the pinch this year, there’s no better way to enjoy watching England play on home soil. All you have to do is turn up, pull up a deckchair and enjoy the atmosphere.

You don’t even need to be a die-hard cricket fan to go along.  The mix of shops, bars and restaurants at each of the three locations means there’s plenty to keep everyone happy. These outdoor Ashes screenings come hot on the heels of Wimbledon screenings that are also happening as part of the Great British Summer festival, so come along and yell Strauss and his boys to Ashes glory.
