England win series as final match is abandoned

England have beaten South Africa in the 5-match One-Day series after the final match in Durban was abandoned due to rain.

The final match was the second to be called off without a ball bowled, and England were handed a series victory by 2 games to 1. Some might say they don’t really deserve to win, but they way they responded after twice being outclassed was very impressive.

Jonathan Trott silenced some of his critics with a couple of important innings, whilst Paul Collingwood’s performances have been exceptional.

We now look forward to the start of the Test series, which starts on December 16th at Centurion.
