Usain Bolt shows he’s not just fast on the track
This morning I mentioned the England Women’s tour of West Indies and in a very tedious link here is more for the Caribbean islands. We all know Usain Bolt as the fastest man over 100m and 200m in the world, a character that never fails to entertain. And entertain he did in a charity cricket tournament featuring West Indian legends past and present.
Captaining his team, Trelawny All Stars XI, Bolt scored 13 runs off 10 balls, including a straight six off West Indies captain Chris Gayle, before he was ironically run out! However, it was with the ball that Bolt really impressed and again it has Gayle who felt the full effect of the Jamaican. After greeting Gayle with a bouncer first up, Bolt bowled the man who tore apart every attack in the Twenty20 World Cup this year.
For Bolt it wasn’t such a surprise as he used to play cricket at a high level as a kid, and cites Waqar Younis as his childhood hero. Check out his wicket taking delivery below.
